An arbitrator fox

 

 

Two dogs were growling at each other on the street.

 

A passing fox looked closely and saw that the dogs were biting a piece of meat at the same time.

 

 

"Why are you guys fighting?"

 

 

Asked the fox.

 

 

"You're trying to take away the meat I found."

 

"What are you talking about? I discovered it first!"

 

 

The two dogs growled that each other found the meat first.

 

 

"Why don't you share?"

 

 

Asked the fox.

 

 

“I hate it if it’s not exactly half and half”

 

"So am I."

 

 

The two dogs answered without losing to each other.

 

 

"I have a good way. I'll divide it exactly in half."

 

 

The fox first made a pair of scales out of twigs.

 

The fox divided the meat in two and hung it on both sides of the scale.

 

But the meat on the right was a little heavier than the meat on the left.

 

The fox took a bite of the meat on the right and weighed it again.

 

This time, the meat on the left was a little heavier.

 

Then the fox took a bite of the meat on the left and weighed it again.

 

The fox repeated this action over and over again, and the two dogs only looked at it while licking their lips.

 

Eventually, the fox ate all the meat.

 

 

"Thank you for the meal. Bye, then!"

 

 

The fox knocked on the stomach and went the way he was going.

 

 

 

 

중재자 여우

 

개 두 마리가 길에서 서로를 향해 으르렁대고 있었습니다.

지나가던 여우가 자세히 보니 개들이 하나의 고깃덩어리를 동시에 물고 있었습니다.

 

"너희들, 왜 싸우고 있는 거니?"

 

여우가 물었습니다.

 

"내가 발견한 고기를 빼앗으려 하잖아."

"무슨 소리야? 내가 먼저 발견했다고!"

 

두 마리의 개는 고깃덩어리를 문 상태로 제가 먼저 봤다고 으르렁거렸습니다.

 

"나눠 먹으면 되잖아?"

 

여우가 물었습니다.

 

“정확하게 반반이 아니라면 싫어”

"나도 마찬가지야."

 

두 마리의 개가 서로 지지 않고 대답했습니다.

 

"내게 좋은 방법이 있어. 내가 정확하게 반으로 나눠 줄게."

 

여우는 먼저 나뭇가지로 양팔 저울을 만들었습니다.

여우는 고기를 둘로 나눠서 저울의 양쪽에 매달았습니다.

그런데 오른쪽 고기가 왼쪽 고기에 비해 조금 무거웠습니다.

여우는 오른쪽 고기를 한 입 베어 먹은 후 다시 무게를 쟀습니다.

이번에는 왼쪽 고기가 조금 더 무거웠습니다.

그러자 여우는 왼쪽 고기를 한 입 베어 먹은 후 다시 무게를 쟀습니다.

여우는 이런 행동을 계속 반복했고, 두 마리 개는 입맛만 다시며 바라볼 뿐이었습니다.

결국 여우는 고기를 모두 먹어 버렸습니다.

 

"참 잘 먹었다. 그럼 안녕!"

 

여우는 배를 두드리며 가던 길로 가버렸습니다.
