A dog, A rooster and A fox

 

 

There was a dog and a rooster who were old friends.

 

One day, we decided to go on a trip and left together.

 

Then I decided to go to sleep because it was late at night.

 

 

"Let's sleep here today."

 

 

It was a place with a big tree.

 

 

“Then I will climb up a tree and sleep.”

 

"Do that. There's a hollow under the tree, so I can sleep there. Goodnight."

 

 

So the rooster climbed up the tree, and the dog fell asleep curled up under the tree.

 

It was when time passed and dawn came.

 

The rooster cried at the top of his voice to announce the dawn as usual.

 

 

"Kkokkio, kkokkio!"

 

 

But a fox nearby heard a rooster cry.

 

 

'Oh, there's a delicious breakfast over there.'

 

 

The fox approached the tree.

 

 

"Ay, rooster. Your cry is really cool.

I want to hear it up close, can you come down?"

 

 

The fox spoke kindly. Then the rooster said.

 

 

"The gatekeeper has to open the door for me to go down.

So wake up the gatekeeper sleeping below and ask him to open the door."

 

 

The fox thought of eating the rooster, so he woke the dog recklessly without even checking who the gatekeeper was.

 

 

"Hey, doorman. Come on, get up. Please open the door."

 

 

But as soon as the dog saw the fox, he bit it off.

 

Both the rooster and the dog were seeing through the fox's tricks.

 

 

 

 

개와 수탉과 여우

 

 

오래된 친구 사이인 개와 수탉이 있었습니다.

하루는 여행을 가기로 하고 함께 길을 떠났습니다.

그러다 밤이 늦어 잠을 자고 가기로 했습니다.

 

"오늘은 여기에서 자고 가자."

 

그곳은 커다란 나무가 있는 곳이었습니다.

 

"그러면 나는 나무 위로 올라가 잘게."

"그렇게 해. 마침 나무 아래 푹 파인 곳이 있으니 나는 그곳에서 자면 되겠다. 잘 자."

 

그렇게 수탉은 나무 위로 올라가고, 개는 나무 아래 몸을 웅크린 채 잠이 들었습니다.

시간이 흘러 새벽이 되었을 때였습니다.

수탉은 평소처럼 새벽을 알리기 위해 목청껏 울었습니다.

 

"꼬끼오 꼬끼오!"

 

그런데 근처에 있던 여우가 수탉의 울음소리를 들었습니다.

 

'오호, 저기 맛있는 아침 식사가 있구나.'

 

여우는 나무로 다가갔습니다.

 

“애, 수탉아. 네 울음소리가 정말 멋있구나.

가까이에서 들어보고 싶은데, 내려오면 안 되겠니?”

 

여우는 상냥하게 말을 건넸습니다. 그러자 수탉이 말했습니다.

 

"내가 내려가려면 문지기가 문을 열어 주어야 해.

그러니 밑에서 자고있는 문지기를 깨워서 문을 열어 달라고 하렴."

 

여우는 수탉을 먹겠다는 생각에 문지기가 누구인지도 확인하지 않고 무턱대고 개를 깨웠습니다.

 

"이봐, 문지기야. 어서 일어나. 문을 열어 달라고."

 

하지만 개는 여우를 보자마자 와락 물어 버렸습니다.

수탉도 개도 여우의 잔꾀를 꿰뚫어 보고 있었던 것입니다.
