Zeus and the Turtle

 

 

It was a fine weather day.  Zeus invited all the animals in the forest to his wedding.

 

But somehow, the turtle didn't come.  The next day Zeus visited the turtle and asked.

 

 

"Why didn't you attend the wedding?"

 

 

Then the turtle replied casually.

 

 

“What place in the world could be better than my own home?”

 

 

Zeus was very angry when he heard the turtle's answer.

 

Then, after thinking it through, I said.

 

 

“I got it. If you like your house that much, from now on, wherever you go, try to carry it with you.”

 

 

After that day, the turtle carried a heavy house on his back.

 

 

 

 

제우스와 거북이

 

날씨가 좋은 어느날이었어요.  제우스는 자신의 결혼식에 숲속의 모든 동물들을 초대했습니다.

 

그런데 어찌된일인지 거북이가 오지 않았습니다. 다음날 제우스가 거북이를 찾아가 물었습니다.

 

“너는 어찌하여 결혼식에 참석하지 않은것이냐?”

 

그러자 거북이가 태연하게 대답했습니다.

 

“세상에 자기 집보다 좋은 곳이 어디 있겠습니까?”

 

거북이의 대답을 듣자 제우스는 몹시 화가 났습니다. 그리고 나서 곰곰이 생각한후 말을 했어요.

 

“알았다. 네가 그렇게 집이 좋다면 앞으로는 어디를 가나 집을 짊어지고 다니도록 해라.”

 

그날 이후 거북이는 무거운 집을 등에 짊어지고 다니게 되었습니다.
