Ant and Pigeon

 

 

There was an ant who was thirsty.  The ant went to the stream to drink water.

 

But as soon as tried to drink water with head down, feet slipped and fell into the water.

 

The ant struggled, but it didn't know how to swim.

 

 

'I have no choice but to die'

 

 

The moment the ant lamented, a leaf fell from the sky and sat down next to the ant.  The ant got on the leaves in a hurry.

 

And then looked at where the leaves came from.  There was a pigeon looking at the ant.

 

A pigeon that saw an ant fall into the water dropped a leaf for the ant.  The ant shouted at the top of its voice.

 

 

"Thank you! Pigeon!"

 

 

It's been a few days.  Ant was walking around the forest to find food.

 

Then I suddenly saw a hunter pulling a string to shoot an arrow. The animal the hunter was aiming for was a pigeon.

 

 

'You're the pigeon who saved me last time.'

 

 

The ant immediately climbed onto the top of the hunter's foot.  Then he quickly bit the top of the hunter's foot with his sharp teeth.

 

 

"Oh, it stings!"

 

 

The hunter jumped up and the arrow flew off to the wrong place.

 

The next moment the ant could hear the pigeon's greeting with the sound of flying up.

 

 

"Thank you! Ant!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

개미와 비둘기

 

 

목이 마른 개미가 있었습니다.  개미는 물을 먹기 위해 냇가로 갔습니다.

그런데 머리를 숙여 물을 먹으려는 순간 발이 미끄러지면서 물에 퐁당 빠지고 말았습니다.

개미는 허우적거려 봤지만 수영을 할줄 몰랐습니다.

 

'꼼짝없이 죽겠구나.'

 

개미가 한탄하는 순간, 하늘에서 나뭇잎이 떨어져 개미 옆에 내리 앉았습니다.  개미는 허겁지겁 나뭇잎에 올라탔습니다.

그리고는 나뭇잎이 어디서 왔는지 살펴보았습니다.  그곳에는 비둘기 한 마리가 개미를 바라보고 있었습니다.

개미가 물에 빠지는 것을 본 비둘기가 개미를 위해 나뭇잎 하나를 떨어뜨려 준 것이었습니다. 개미가 목청껏 소리쳤습니다.

 

"고마워요. 비둘기님."

 

며칠이 지났습니다.  개미는 먹이를 구하기 위해 숲속을 돌아다니고 있었습니다.

그러다 문득 사냥꾼이 화살을 쏘기 위해 시위를 당기고 있는 것을 보았습니다.

사냥꾼이 겨누고 있던 동물은 바로 비둘기였습니다.

 

'저번에 나를 살려 준 비둘기님이잖아.'

 

개미는 곧바로 사냥꾼의 발등으로 기어 올라갔습니다.

그러고는 재빨리 날카로운 이빨로 사냥꾼의 발등을 깨물었습니다.

 

"앗, 따가워!"

 

사냥꾼이 펄쩍 뛰는 바람에 화살은 엉뚱한 곳으로 날아가 버리고 말았습니다.

다음 순간 개미는 푸드득 날아오르는 소리와 함께 비둘기의 인사를 들을 수 있었습니다.

 

"고마워요. 개미님."
